DJ Naves Confirms Metro FM Exit
After another stint at Metro FM, Lebohang Naves – AKA DJ Naves – is once again parting ways from the Johannesburg-based radio station.
DJ Naves revealed the news in an Instagram post on Thursday, 11 January, writing: “Looking back on my time at Metro FM, I’ve had the privileged chance to be part of some great shows like Rhyme & Reason, #ThePreparty, #TheKingsSuite and #KingsOfTheWeekend.
“It’s been such an awesome journey of growth over the years.”
The 39-year-old first joined Metro FM in 2010. Seven years later, he left to join Gagasi FM; in 2019, however, he left the latter to rejoin the former.
It’s unknown at this time what prompted his second exit from Metro FM, but a grateful DJ Naves offered “big thanks” to the station for the “amazing journey” – which will officially end on 27 January – before he starts off on a “clean slate.”
“I’m so thankful for the experiences, opportunities, and the incredible people I’ve worked with – some of whom have become lifelong friends,” he wrote. “I’m pumped for the next adventure and the next parts of the #KOTW journey that I’ll soon share with you.”
